This policy explains what happens to information collected through westlightwealth.com. It applies to visitors to this website. If you are a Westlight Wealth client, the handling of your financial information is governed by our Client Privacy Notice, which is a separate document.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you complete the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and — if you provide them — your phone number, your preferred method of reply, a range describing your approximate investable assets, and whatever you write in the message field. If you book a call, our scheduling tool collects your name, email address, and the time you select.

Information collected automatically. Our website host records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, time of visit, and the site you arrived from. We use this to keep the site working and to understand general traffic patterns. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

What we do not collect. We do not collect Social Security numbers, account numbers, dates of birth, or financial account credentials through this website. Please do not send them to us by email or through the contact form.

What we do with it

We use contact form information for one purpose: to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form. If you separately subscribe to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not run advertising or social media tracking pixels on this site.

Who else sees it

We use service providers to run this website and our practice. They receive only what they need, act on our instructions, and are required to protect it:

Wix — hosts the website and processes contact form submissions
JotForm — processes our client intake form
Calendly — processes meeting bookings
MailerLite — sends our newsletter, to subscribers only
Supabase — our client relationship and compliance records system

We may also disclose information if required by law, by court order, or in response to a lawful request from a regulator.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records. Where a submission becomes part of our books and records as an investment adviser, we retain it for the period California law requires. If you ask us to delete an inquiry that has not become a business record, we will.

Our website host sets cookies that are necessary for the site to function — remembering your session, keeping pages secure, and supporting basic traffic measurement. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not permit third-party advertisers to place cookies on this site.

You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Parts of the site may not work correctly if you do. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it and this site does not respond to it, but we do not track you across other websites regardless.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, state privacy law may give you the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request that we delete or correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. To make any other request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before responding. Information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which includes most client financial information, is treated under our Client Privacy Notice rather than this policy.

This website links to other sites, including our regulator’s public disclosure database and third-party adviser directories. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or their content. Please read their policies before giving them information.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through this site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
